Poky is an open source developer environment by Opened Hand which is simple to use, configurable and allows many external components to join together into a single bigger unit. The software is designed primarily for mobile devices.
The logotype concept was to replicate the multi state configurable nature of the Poky software. Groups of quarter circles randomly form to create individual letterforms. A multi state version of the typeface is used as the final logotype.
The client requested an additional mascot to support and promote the Poky brand. Together with
Shuji Suzuki we developed a 3D beaver mascot complete with tool belt and iPhone. We’re currently producing this Beaver into 1000 toy figures. Sweet!
As part of the branding exercise we designed and developed a set of web page templates.
