Here's a selection of images of an abandoned holiday resort in Taiwan. It's been abandoned for more then 20 years. Someone should renovate it.

You can buy these in magma. For some reason they remind me of the promotional paper hats you used to get in the 80's. Nice.

A few people have created a Flickr account where they pose with their favourite record sleeves. Have a looksie.

Geeky goodness.
If I were a dj I'd have to make myself headphones made out of an old telephone (you'll remember seeing disc jockeys using them at d.i.s.c.o-s back in the 80's). Well here's a
how to guide.
All you need is an old telephone handset, a soldering iron, a mono male phone plug and a sharp utility blade and you're away.
Most of us have experienced cancer at some point in our lives, yet alot of us seem to be morbid about it rather than getting off our backsides and trying to help. (myself included)
There will be a skate event in aid of Cancer Research UK on 26th January 2008 at Central Skate-park in Manchester. I'd heard about the skate4cancer fund raising that had taken place in the US and thought it was an a amazing idea, so I'm glad it's been translated to a 1 day event over here.
The competition starts at 12pm til 6pm with prize money of £1000 (I'm not sure why they don't give this prize money to Cancer Research!?!?!) for the over 18's comp and there's loads of giveaways for under 18's comp. The outside area of the skate park will be used to host graffiti workshops and demos from Europe's finest artists.
There is also an afterparty for over 18's only at The Urbis in Manchester from 9pm til 3am with live music from Gideon Conn (Manchesters no.1 underground acoustic hiphop act). Also Djs and VJs: Urban Knights (live dj and vj duo from Bristol), Sam Pepper (sub tub), Jonny Dub (sketch city). There will be an auction in aid of Cancer Research UK for things donated from their sponsors: e.g. Ltd edition Oakley glasses, Volcom clothes, Etnies signed trainers etc. etc.
All profits from this event go to Cancer Research UK.
Tickets are available now from The Urbis and Central Skatepark (although I'm sure you'll be able to get them on the day).
When I was little, my best friends granny was very superstitious and couldn't say the word 'pig'. I'm not entirely sure why she couldn't say it, or even if the 2 were related. Anyway… instead she said igippa (a piggy spelt backwards, I assume).
Here's an iggipa bank with a difference. When you crack it open to retrieve your money you get the added bonus of blood and guts. It's designed by Derrick Wang.

Denim jackets are only cool when the sleeves are ripped off and there's an impressive piece of artwork / patch on the back (I rocked a White Snake one back in th'day). Check out the images from this Aussie exhibition.
