Red & Yellow & Pink & Green

I can sing a rainbow.. so can these guys too! Sound of Color (colour!! please!) features some amazing videos/music themed on colour. The Raveonettes track and video is just lush.

Warning: These are NOT toys.

Robots. I don't really need to say more. Just have a look.

Just loving the interactive vibe at the moment...

Technology finally, after years of wishing I was a space cadet and being broken hearted, is starting to blow my mind. There's a lot of agencies pushing the boundaries at the moment and this is just one really simple execution but inspiring at the same time. (Or is that Elle blowing my mind.. it's easy to get confused!)

In A Different Glass!

Wow!

Two Heads Are Better Than One

Right? No definately Wrong. Very Wrong!!!! Asger Carlsen is a Danish photographer with a slight.. disturbingly different approach.

Rubix For The Tron Generation

The Rubix Cube gets a new look with Andrew Fentem's 'Febtix Cube'. I now know exactly  what I want for Christmas. Check out his work for some rather nifty (that's techinal terms for inspiring) interactive devices.

We Have A Problem

Houston is the selected works of Jeff Minton & Houston 2003-06. Beautiful & simplistic pieces of work - the axes are very very nice too. I'm sure I have seen something similar on the cover of an album whilst browsing... can't recall the artist/band now.. if you know?

Pure Genius

Meow Meow (Wow Wow its a ball of wool!)?!

meowlingual

Ever wondered what your cat is trying to tell you? A Japanese company hopes to solve this conundrum with a new toy that seeks to interpret your pet's meows. A palm-sized electronic console is held next to the cat in question, and an interpretation of its cries and purrs is displayed on the screen.
Why ever not!
"Meow": (My balls taste funny)
"Meowee": (Go away)
"Purr": (Feed me a tin of that yucky fish stuff NOW!!)
"Meooow": (Don't.. I repeat DON'T pull my frikin whisker again.. see these claws..!!)

and not to be left out... man's best friend can tell you what he really thinks of chasing that ball over and over again.
Genius!

Jasmin Raznahan has a wonderful portfolio of conceptual work, but my favourite has to be the Tamden Umbrella (2007) - which is designed for the inseperable... awwww bless!

Chrono Shredder

33

The Chrono_Shredder is a device that makes past time tangible. It is a hybrid between calendar, clock and waste producing automaton. It has no on/off-button, thus it is unstoppable, just like time. It features the 365 days of the year represented on a paper-roll. The paper-roll is led through a hacked paper-shredder, which is programmed to use exactly 24 hours to shred one "day".

French designer and RCA student Susana Hertrich has a fine portfolio of interactive experiments and research.
