Hubero Kororo designed this interactive CD cover for the band Uceroz. When you open the CD packaging on the side, ink is set free and bleeds into the cover, creating a unique cover for each CD. Really nice.
Nice mix of drawing/animation styles, and good music to boot!
Coolest CD case I've ever seen, I might just buy it, though it is a bit expensive at 50$/31£ for US delivery and 60$/37£ for international deliver. But you can get a "Pocket" version for around 21£ international delivery. This is how you sell physical CDs. And the music is pretty good as well!
You can buy the Moldov CD here.
Amazing song from pogo. The track is composed of a sine wave bass, custom drum sequences and sounds recorded from Mary Poppins. You can get the mp3 here!

This is quite a cool application along the lines of the Tenori-On. It's very addictive and makes very pleasing sonic patterns...

Don't let the fact that this is for Ikea put you off. Stunning imagery.
Quite a cool idea - create synthesizer patches via Max/MSP and distribute them via Twitter. Currently patches look a bit like this...

A good song accompanied by a cool music video, they've used Little Big Planet to record the footage of their in-game avatars for it.
Quite often I'll find myself suddenly subscribed onto an unknown mailing list usually offering garbage. This isn't the case with 14 Tracks — although it's taken 5 or 6 weekly emails before I finally clicked through to see what it was all about. Well that's a lie, I was going to unsubscribe... weekly emails? Urrgh!
Anyways, what I've discovered is a great source of new & obscure music supplied via Boomkat. Each week a theme is explored and tracks are hand selected to form the infamous 14. It's a great way to hear new music, especially when there is simply too much out there to wade through.
"Our selections aren't meant to be definitive, they have been specially
compiled and curated in order to introduce you to incredible music that
might otherwise have passed you by. The selections are made up of those
tracks that have filled our record boxes, music that has always
triggered a reaction, that people have asked us about whenever we've
played them out, or when they've passed by our office and wanted to
know what it was we were playing."
Even better, buy all 14 tracks and you save 50% off the total cost. Bargin. It seems like Wednesday's are now days to look forward to.
Brilliant.
So... here's 14 Tracks covering the best of Basic Channel - Mmmmmmmm
A long long time ago I made a set of pixelated 1210's and mixer with Director and made it so you could cut and scratch ‘Good Times’ by Chic. It was bloody hard… So I have no idea how this has been made.
It’s in Flash too!! How is any of this possible!? Truly blown away, it’s like Reason in your browser. Best thing I’ve seen online this year, without doubt.
Anyone around Birmingham tomorrow (Friday 14th) should come along to Culture Jam 2. Myself and Prime Objective will be playing some music & visuals from 10 > 11pm.It's going to go down in The Rainbow in Digbeth.

Ha! Ace - Black Affair (ex: Beta Band) have named a song after us... sort of...
About a year ago I posted this great picture of the Star Wars Rock Band. Turns out it’s only half the image! Check the image below to see the full band!

If you have some spare time, and missed it last Friday, I'd recommend you watch this on the BBC iPlayer. It's only available til the weekend so hurry.
"Documentary celebrating the triumph, tragedy and human comedy that was Manchester record company, Factory. Started by the late Tony Wilson, Alan Erasmus, Peter Saville and Martin Hannett in the late 1970s, it became known as the home of Joy Divsion, New Order and Happy Mondays and for creating the Hacienda club. The label pioneered Britain's independent pop culture, creating a new Manchester and blowing a shed-load of money. Includes interviews with all the main players in the Factory story"
